Job Description:

The Lead Financial Analyst role provides a terrific opportunity for an individual to join the Payments industry and learn both sides of the P&L, embrace technology, and make a direct impact on business results.  The role is within the PULSE Line of Business Finance Organization and will report to the Sr. Manager, PULSE FP&A. The primary responsibilities of this position will be planning for PULSE Revenue and Volume, and reporting and analysis on the full PULSE P&L.  This role would work closely with business partners to provide finance leadership, accurate forecasts, and insightful analysis to drive positive business results.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide financial and business analysis support.

  • Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You’ll Do It

  • Develop profitability analyses and projections for marketing and customer segments.

  • Analyze customer behaviors and product profitability trends to understand financial implications and influence actions.

  • Develop and enhance financial models. Improve forecasting accuracy and drive business insights.  Incorporates the latest technology into work and drives technology innovation in the Finance area. Leverages diverse sources of data (Anaplan, Essbase, Jaspersoft, Tableau, Excel etc.) to assess financial performance and assumptions for the forecast and to drive greater understanding of the business.

  • Provide management with strategic advice and financial analyses for investment decisions, pricing changes, and channel and segment expansions.  Prepares monthly financial presentations and analysis for leadership, effectively communicating financial results and performance against financial forecasts and yearly plans.

  • Perform competitive analyses to drive strategic insights and actions.  Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for area business leadership as requested to support business decisions.

  • Translate business opportunities and issues into financial analyses.

  • Develop business cases with recommendations to management.  Collaborates with business partners to develop monthly financial forecasts which will drive appropriate and timely decision making. Analyzes financial performance and provides management and cross-functional teams to drive strategic investment decisions.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics: 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, investment banking, or related field

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Master's degree in finance, business, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, investment banking, or related field

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
