Job Summary

Micron’s Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) team is looking for a Communication Lead in India for Micron Semiconductor Technology India Private Limited (MSTI) which is the India manufacturing operations to develop and drive Micron’s brand locally. Playing a significant role in driving all internal and external communications and marketing in India, the Communications Lead is responsible for defining MSTI’s communication and marketing strategy, including local branding, media relations, digital, social and events aligned with Micron’s business and corporate objectives. This role will also serve as a key point of content, providing counsel to local executives, site communicators and functional teams, and be based in Ahmedabad while reporting to the to the Director of Asia Communications and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Define and implement MSTI’s communication and marketing strategy

  • Develop and implement strategic plans, encompassing branding, media relations, digital, social and events in line with business objectives and Micron’s India leadership and global objectives.
  • Ensure Micron corporate narratives and results assist in crafting brand awareness, driving awareness of Micron’s manufacturing operations and impact on local and national ecosystem, and promoting Micron as a great place to work.
  • Leverage and lead local agency partners and budgets based on global functional direction.

Drive marketing and communication priorities in India

  • Work seamlessly with GCM partners at a global and regional level to create and implement plans aligned with business processes.
  • Lead deployment of GCM global programs in India to drive key messages, awareness and engagement through relevant localized campaigns.
  • Drive storytelling efforts by building trust and strong relations with internal teams to leverage good stories
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Micron’s market perception in India among key audiences and drive measured progress through targeted communications and marketing activities.
  • Champion GCM critical initiatives in MSTI through counsel; continually developing customer, industry and driven expertise, and standard process sharing.

Represent GCM to external and internal collaborators in India as a liaison

  • Effectively communicate Micron’s values to collaborators and the market, ensuring that all messages promoted in India are aligned with the corporate narrative.
  • Engage in proactive outreach with collaborators at all sites in India and host routine review meetings to ensure strong coordination.
  • Provide communications guidance and counsel to local leadership and other key collaborators to ensure efficiency and integrity of communications and brand execution.

Skill Set Required:

  • Strong marketing/Marcom expertise in related (public relations, advertising, marketing)
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal business interpersonal skills.
  • Creating compelling content, narrative, video scripts and communication materials (authored articles, stories, testimonials, Q&As) as per target audience
  • Familiarity in engaging with B2B manufacturing environments to drive communication strategies to educate and inform key stakeholders
  • Ability to provide advice and counsel to senior executives and management team
  • Strong sense of accountability, dedication to excellence, attention to detail and delivering against objectives
  • Strong understanding of the local, regional and national media landscape and storytelling abilities to position MSTI in line with desired communication priorities
  • Ability to partner with multiple functions and key partners in a highly matrixed organization
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive and lead parallel programs
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in communications and/or in a related marketing function (public relations, advertising, marketing)
  • 5+ years of experience in media, social, brand marketing and/or integrated campaign management
  • Experience working in a large, fast growing, fast-paced company and/or in the high-tech/manufacturing sector
  • Proficiency in MSFT Office 365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Education: bachelor’s degree or above, in following:
    • Business, Business Administration/Management
    • Communications
    • Journalism
    • Marketing
    • International Business
  • Semiconductor proven experience is a plus
