JR69298 Systems Engineer in leased labor contract (Evergreen)

In our Embedded Business Unit (EBU) Systems Engineering Laboratory in Munich, we enable and validate High Speed memory solutions on real world embedded systems, with particular focus on Automotive applications.

We are looking for a  Systems Engineer in leased labor contract to support our activities for the whole existing Micron memory product portfolio (DRAM, NAND and NOR Flash modules and devices), working with other EBU Systems Engineers, and Application Engineers.

In this role, you will be validating prototype and production customer platforms (PCB boards) and system level development platforms from chip set vendors (evalboards).

Activities will include: running and configuring diagnostic software, designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, creating custom tools, and presenting data to customers both inside and outside Micron. On occasion you may need to carry out these responsibilities at the customer site. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.).

You will work directly with our customers and partners systems, enabling both their and our success with the main focus on new business generation and support for Micron.

This is a fixed term position in leased labor contract with a duration of one year

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform system level test, evaluation and benchmarking for the memory subsystem.
  • Use high-end measurement equipment to monitor and debug the memory interface for signal
  • Analyze the behavior of system components at different end-user scenarios and environmental conditions
  • Provide debug support on demand in case a system returns with a fail from the end customer
  • Adapt  PCB hardware to Micron products form and function for
  • Rework PCBs with de/solder BGA and interposer components
  • Solder probes and wires needed for the measurement setup.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment  in connection with  the Vendor.


Education/Required Experience:

  • Engineering - Electrical/Electronics, or Similar technical Engineering degree
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related technical field or laboratory environment


Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Hands on experience in using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer or other measuring equipment
  • Experience in HW verification and debugging
  • Ability to work with fine pitch components
  • Ability to work with microscope, soldering equipment, solder rework machine, SMT mounting tools
  • Ability to work with Software tools.
