We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager with strong technical depth, strategic mindset, and proven execution skills to drive complex, cross‑domain programs across eCommerce, Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Legal, and Customer Experience. This role is critical to scaling Membership platforms that directly impact customer loyalty, engagement, and long-term business growth.

If you thrive on solving complex technical and organizational problems, enjoy working in fast-paced environments, and are motivated by building platforms that operate at massive scale, this role offers the opportunity to influence the future of Membership at Walmart. The systems we build must be highly scalable, secure, reliable, and observable, supporting millions of members and transactions daily.

What You’ll Do

  • Communicate effectively at all levels—explaining technical trade-offs with engineers while clearly articulating risks, options, and recommendations to senior leaders and executives.

  • Proactively identify program risks, constraints, and trade-offs; develop mitigation strategies; and ensure timely escalation when required.

  • Build strong domain expertise in eCommerce related workflows

  • Influence without authority by simplifying complex problems, aligning stakeholders, and driving decisions to timely outcomes.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of architecture-level implementation details and propose technical alternatives when necessary.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on data contracts, infrastructure capacity, cloud services, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain an end-to-end view of program health and dependencies; adjust milestones and delivery plans as conditions evolve.

  • Set up and facilitate architecture and technical design reviews, challenge assumptions, and help teams converge on optimal solutions.

  • Partner closely with architects, engineering managers, and tech leads to ensure systems are production-ready, resilient, and observable (monitoring, alerting, SLAs).

  • Define and track product and technical milestones; manage expectations; and drive execution excellence across all phases.

  • Lead day-to-day execution of complex Agile software development programs, including platform modernization, migrations, and integrations.

  • Build and maintain multi-quarter roadmaps; lead large, geographically distributed teams and stakeholders to deliver results.

  • Develop and manage integrated program, release, and dependency plans across multiple workstreams.

  • Align teams to common business, member, and release goals while ensuring accountability and transparency.

  • Continuously improve program management processes and establish best practices across the Membership organization.

  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, Finance, Legal, and Executive Sponsors to deliver high-impact outcomes.

  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, diagnose platform or customer pain points, and track KPIs related to membership growth, retention, and experience.
