We collaborate closely with product teams to ensure seamless implementation and provide the necessary software infrastructure to support feature rollouts. Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineer to design, develop, and optimize innovative applications and solutions for wireless products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure seamless integration with wireless technologies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in application development, system design, and problem-solving, coupled with a passion for driving innovation and delivering high-quality solutions for wireless product ecosystems.
This role is based in our cutting-edge Comcast Technology Center in downtown Philadelphia, PA and is not eligible for remote/virtual employment.
Core Responsibilities
- Work with Engineering teams to define detailed Engineering requirements and system-level design, as well as providing architectural expertise and guidance.
- Work with cross functional teams (network, cloud, software, compute) and develop technical activities for customer trials and deployments.
- Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework.
- Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
- Assess vendor development/test strategies.
- Explore novel approaches to system integration with existing networking technologies.
- Propose new, creative solutions for complex, system-wide problems.
- Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. and develop technology roadmaps.
- Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting wireless domain
- Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
- Follow onGo CBRS, WinnForum, 3GPP RAN and Core and SIM meetings
Qualifications:
- Fundamental understanding of the wireless networks and provisioning systems
- Hands on working experience in next-generation wireless technology (LTE/5G), 5G NSA/SA and enterprise wireless technologies
- In depth understanding of the cellular network architecture device, network and service provisioning and activation
- Preference for candidate familiar with Xfinity Mobile product
