JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Title:  Sales Representative ( JHB SOUTH)

Division: Abbott Nutrition

Location: Johannesburg

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain relationship with key people in the private hospital & maternity units in   the territory
  • Design appropriate strategies to achieve sales goals and targets in the assigned territory.
  • Achieve market share, volume growth and sales target in assigned territories by calling  on all relevant healthcare professionals and institutions
  • Maintain prescribed customer call rate
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customer base
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Attend trade displays and presentations which can involve after hours and week ends when required
  • Attend cycle meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain appropriate expenditure.
  • Compliance with company Code of Conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE:

Education :

  • Relevant Nutrition/Medical and/or Commercial Tertiary qualification is essential.

Expertise and Competencies:

  • A minimum of 3 years sales experience in relevant healthcare industry ideally having dealt with HCP’s is essential, with previous experience calling on Peadiatricians and maternity unit manager advantageous
  • Candidate is expected to have good territory knowledge of the Johannesburg North area
  • Candidate with previous nutrition background is definitely an advantage in this role
  • Good communicator and self motivated
  • Business planning acumen and ability.
  • Assertive, Proactive and enthusiastic.
