Job Description:

Qualifications (heading) / Compétences (titre)

1. University degree with a strong mathematical or statistical background

2. With at least 4 years of Actuarial related experience

3. Strong knowledge and experience in handling any Actuarial modelling software, preferably AXIS

4. With at least 3 SOA exams and 3 VEE passed

5. Strong Knowledge in the use of MS Office application

 

Responsibilities (heading) / Responsabilités (titre)

1. Provide support to the team for Canadian and local reporting processes, which includes:

• IFRS17 and GPV liability modelling 
• preparation of the reports for the non-model related liabilities 
• preparation of the report for Risk-Based Capital 2 (RBC2) submission and corresponding sensitivities 
• New product implementation and model setup
• Execution of assumption changes in the model

2. Provide support in various local regulatory submissions

3. Conduct model validation exercises in accordance with established EUC guidelines

4. Participate in ad-hoc projects depending on business needs such as but not limited to:

• support on the stochastic asset modelling using actuarial software 
• support on the semi-annual business plan financial projections
• support on the annual scenario testing submission to the regulator.
