Who You Are:

The Treasury Vice President (VP) will support Galaxy’s Group Treasurer. He/she will assist with day-to-day liquidity management, publish periodic liquidity reports for senior management and help craft responses for regulators and other external and internal stakeholders. The Treasury VP will liaise with business teams (Trading, Lending, Asset Management, Mining etc.) to monitor liquidity needs, work with the Tech team on automating processes and work closely with Finance, Risk and Operations. He/she will handle day-to-day Treasury processes related to Galaxy’s regulated Swap Dealer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor Galaxy’s liquidity position against risk limits and targets, both at the firmwide level and for its regulated Swap Dealer entity;
  • Develop Galaxy’s liquidity risk monitoring framework, including building risk limits and targets into reporting and enhancing stress scenarios;
  • Liaise with business teams (Trading, Lending, Asset Management, Mining etc.) to understand the impact of material positions and trades on liquidity;
  • Support the implementation of Treasury charges for capital usage by business;
  • Handle day-to-day decision-making related to Galaxy’s Swap Dealer, including inventory management and instructing loan bookings and equity contributions;
  • Liaise with internal (Trading, Operations, Risk, Finance) and external (Regulators, Auditors, Consultants) stakeholders on Swap Dealer related topics;
  • Respond to questions from regulators and produce materials for regulatory exams;
  • Work with Tech on enhancements to the Swap Dealer’s regulatory liquidity metrics and troubleshoot issues with existing reporting;
  • Create visuals and dashboards to monitor Treasury inventory and work with Tech to automate processes and reports;
  • Produce Treasury policies, procedures, technical documents and commentary as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 6-8 years in Treasury, Capital Markets, Finance, Risk or Operations
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, engineering or other quantitative subjects
  • Experience with financial data, modeling and processes
  • Fluent in SQL / Python, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Digital Assets and DeFi
  • Good communication skills and is a critical thinker

The base salary ranges included below will be commensurate with candidate experience, expertise and local market. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise. At Galaxy, we maintain a total compensation philosophy which consists of a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and equity incentives.

$150,000$180,000 USD
