Summary/Overview:

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is actively seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role is remote, with occasional travel to our offices/data centers when infrastructure maintenance is required. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role within the Infrastructure Engineering Team, providing architecture/design and day-to-day operational support for our existing infrastructure environment. You will contribute to the development and implementation of current and future projects, actively collaborate with various technology teams (DBA, Application Development, Operations, Desktop), and proactively monitor computing platforms. Your responsibilities will include system builds, processes, vulnerability remediation, system patching and changes, creating comprehensive support documentation, and providing technical leadership to the team. Collaboration with team members to enhance team expertise and efficiency will be essential. You will also be required to participate in on-call rotations.

You are open to mentoring others within the team and collaborating with multiple technology groups. You must possess a “do it correct the first time” mentality with automation and security being key factors where possible.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • 7+ years of Systems/Infrastructure Engineering experience required
  • Computer Science degree or similar work experience required
  • Expert level knowledge of the following (THESE ARE MUST HAVES):
    • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
    • Windows Active Directory/DNS/DFS/DHCP
    • VMware vSphere 7/8
    • Enterprise and remote site backup solutions required (Rubrik a plus)
    • Enterprise SAN technologies (Pure Storage a plus)
    • Automation/Scripting - PowerShell preferred
  • Advanced level knowledge of the following:
    • Experience working with Public Cloud (AWS/Azure)
    • Windows Certificate Authority Infrastructure design and management
    • Cisco UCS Hardware (Cisco Intersight managed mode a plus)
    • System Monitoring/Alerting
    • Physical security systems (Verkada a plus)
    • Networking Micro-Segmentation (Illumio a plus)
  • Additional Preferred Skills:
    • Linux knowledge (Ubuntu)
    • CI/CD Tools (Terraform, Ansible)
    • Network Segmentation Experience (Illumio preferred)
    • Secrets Management (Keeper Secrets Manager, AWS Secrets, etc)
    • Azure VMWare Solution
    • Experience directly managing small teams
  • Professional Certifications a plus (Azure, AWS, Microsoft, etc)

Salary Range:

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $145,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
